A man in Mtindwa area has been confirmed dead after being knocked down by a speeding train along the Nairobi-Ruiru railway train
The victim was said to have his earphones on before his demise.
He unfortunately died on the spot as his body was badly injured after being dragged several meters before making the stop.

This is according to the police and residents of Mutindwa who witnessed the man’s demise.
Despite the train blowing its horn to warn him, the man was long gone and caught up to the sounds he was listening to.
The train driver said that he knocked down the deceased in Mtindwa area as he raced to the Nairobi Railways station.

The body of the deceased was taken to the mortuary and is now pending identification and autopsy.
Authorities have disclosed that incidents like that are becoming common in the streets of Nairobi and are advising pedestrians to be extra careful while on the roads.
Pedestrians are discouraged from using earphones when crossing roads.
