The journey is expected to last three hours, assuming there are no additional disruptions from traffic or bad weather. The Met Office predicts freezing temperatures in Newcastle tonight, possibly dropping to -1 Celsius.

Erik ten Hag and Rasmus Hojlund seemed to feel the cold as they got on the coach for their journey north. United aims to recover from a disappointing 3-3 draw with Galatasaray mid-week, putting them on the verge of Champions League elimination.

United are currently the most in-form team in the Premier League, having won all three of their November matches and the match at St. James Park is a massive test to their recent resurgence.
