Manchester United target Victor Osimhen and Xavi Simons in €155M transfer rebuild

Manchester United are pushing for a major summer rebuild, with Victor Osimhen and Xavi Simons identified as top transfer targets to address their attacking shortcomings following a disappointing season.

The club has struggled offensively, managing just 38 goals in the Premier League, prompting the pursuit of a world-class striker and a creative midfielder for the 2025/26 campaign.

Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has impressed with 29 goals in 34 matches this season. Reports suggest he has agreed to personal terms with United, and negotiations with Napoli are at an advanced stage, although a final agreement has yet to be reached.

Napoli is demanding a fee of €75–80 million (approximately Ksh 10.7–11.4 billion), while United have opened talks at around €60 million (about Ksh 8.6 billion), with a possible swap deal involving Rasmus Hojlund being explored.

Fabrizio Romano has noted that no deal is finalized yet, as United await clarity on their European qualification, which could affect both budget and appeal.

Xavi Simons, the 21-year-old Dutch playmaker shining at RB Leipzig, is also on United’s radar, with the club looking to boost creativity in midfield.

Simons is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League, and Leipzig may consider selling for around €80 million (aprox Ksh 11.4 billion), though no formal negotiations or agreements have been confirmed.

The success of a potential €155 million (arox Ksh 22.1 billion) double swoop for Osimhen and Simons hinges on United securing Champions League qualification, which would enhance both their financial muscle and attractiveness to top-tier talent.
