Manchester United Under 21 team thrashed 8-1 by league One Bolton

As the Manchester United Senior team was dominating over Crystal palace and Cruising Smoothly in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

27kilometer away their Under 21 side was being taught a lesson of their own.

League one side Bolton Wanderers gave the Junior Manchester United a 8-1 thrashing in the EFL trophy campaign.

A couple of the team’s fans chose not to attend the Senior team’s match and, instead, supported the young lads, only to experience disappointment due to the humbling performances.

Dan Nlundulu and Josh Sheehan each scored a brace for the hosts. with the hosts’ taking the lead just after twenty minutes played.

Gethin Jones added the scores with a fourth goal just before the halftime break, capitalizing on a precise cut-back from Aaron Morley.

This allowed the Bolton captain to significantly bolster his team’s lead.

After the halftime break, Jones switched roles and became the creator, assisting Nlundulu in securing his second goal of the evening, making it 5-0.

With a little over an hour into the game, Ian Evatt’s team expanded their lead even further when Jon Dadi Bodvarsson found the back of the net.

United managed to pull one back as Omari Forson scored following a give-and-go with Ethan Williams.

In the final fifteen minutes of the match, substitutes Nelson Khumbeni and Luke Matheson also contributed to the scoreline, wrapping up the scoring for the home team.
