Mang’u Highschool delegates inspect Boeing aircraft donated by Kenya Airways

The Kenya Airways Authority on Thursday 14th hosted a team of delegates from Mang’u Highschool at their headquarters in Nairobi.

This was to inspect and formally accept the livery on a recently decommissioned Boeing 737-700 donated by Kenya Airways.

”We are glad that the Mang’u leadership including the Board of Management was pleased with the progress of the work done by our engineers and other partners.”

The decommissioned aircraft will be fitted with a simulator for practical lessons for students at Mang’u Highschool.

This donation aligns with Kenya Airways’ commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, enhancing academic and practical excellence for future aviation professionals.

Kenya Airways donated Boeing 737-700

The Authority had earlier in September donated Boeing 737-700 to Mang’u Highschool to enhance it’s preparation in Learning Aviation.

Cabinet Secretary of Roads, Transport, and Public Works Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen who praised the initiative said that it will help boost the practicality of aviation courses in the education sector.

“I wish to thank Kenya Airways for this commendable act of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that will inspire hope in the students of Mang’u High School,” Murkomen said.

He emphasized that the KQ initiative highlights the significance of Public-Private Partnerships in furthering the government’s education and aviation reforms.

Allan Kilavuka, the CEO of Kenya Airways, expressed strong assurance regarding the donation’s influence, stating that it would play a significant role in fostering the talents of students.
