Political analyst Herman Manyora on Tuesday, October 10 revealed that President William Ruto’s Nyanza tour should be a major concern to deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking during an interview on Spice FM, the political analyst explained that President Ruto’s Nyanza tour could signify a possible handshake between the president and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
As a result, Manyora explained that Gachagua who has been dismissing a possible truce between Raila and Ruto should be worried.
Manyora added that the Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, a close ally of Raila Odinga should be equally worried of the latest developments between the president and Raila.

“Rigathi Gachagua and Kalonzo Musyoka should be very afraid, they are on the outside. There is a deal between Raila and Ruto,” Manyora said.
“Looking at the Nyanza tour, what plays out confirms some of some things people have been feeling, that Raila and Ruto have a deal,” he added.
Manyora’s remarks emerged two days after Gachagua stated that Mt Kenya residents would resist any handshake arrangement between President Ruto and Raila.
On the other hand, Ruto had stated during the Nyanza tour that Raila owed him a political debt due to his involvement in making him Prime Minister after the 2007 elections.

On the same note, Manyora had on August 18 claimed that Azimio leader Raila Odinga wanted to finish Kalonzo’s political career by making him part of the national dialogue team.
Manyora had posted on his X account that Kalonzo was too senior to be involved in the talks with the Kenya Kwanza team at the Bomas of Kenya.
“Kalonzo Musyoka, run away from Bomas, and while outside look inside and you will see Raila Odinga delivering you to the slaughterhouse. Bomas is a trap. Abandon that position to Opiyo Wandayi who’s at the Kimani Ichung’wa level,” Manyora stated.

According to Manyora, both the president and Raila were taking time to reveal their intensions of working together as they work on strategies of relying the information on their supporters.
“Something has taken place and I have no doubt that the casualties will be Kalonzo Musyoka and Rigathi Gachagua,” Manyora said.
The political analyst noted with concern that deputy president Rigathi Gachagua may not take the Raila-Ruto truce lightly.
“Ruto has a problem; Rigathi Gachagua does not mince his words and will cause a lot of problems for Ruto if that deal between the two becomes public,” Manyora explained.
