Juventus midfielder Nicoló Fagioli’s agent, Marco Giordano, has confirmed that Fagioli has a gambling addiction.
In an interview with Repubblica, Giordano stated that Fagioli’s gambling problem predated their professional association, and they have been making efforts to help him overcome this issue.
“Nicolò is truly addicted to gambling, a problem that became apparent before we became his agents. Despite this, we decided not to abandon him and have tried to support him in every way. I must say he has been conducting himself exceptionally well since joining us,” Giordano revealed.
Fagioli’s father, Marco Fagioli, had initially placed blame on his son’s agent for the gambling addiction. However, Giordano has defended himself against these accusations, seeking to clear himself of any wrongdoing.
“The father says he wasn’t aware of anything and points the finger at whoever looks after the player’s interests,” Giordano said.
Fagioli has been cooperating with the Turin Prosecutor, and it is anticipated that he may face a ban ranging from 10 to 18 months.

A week ago, Capemedia.Africa reported that Nicolo Fagioli is facing a possible three-year suspension for alleged betting violations, at least according to Italian news outlet La Stampa.
The 22-year-old is currently under investigation for suspected betting infractions on unauthorized betting platforms as part of an inquiry conducted by the Turin Prosecutor’s Office related to illicit online gambling activities.
The investigation encompasses the scrutiny of access records, data, and financial transactions, with Italy international Fagioli being one of the individuals being probed for possible involvement in these betting activities.
The matter first came to the attention of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) on August 30, leading Prosecutor Giuseppe Chine to initiate a formal investigation following notification by Fagioli’s legal representatives.
