The management of Masshouse, a popular entertainment joint in Nairobi, has broken its silence after the death of a reveller that reportedly occurred in the wee hours of Saturday, February 15.

The Strathmore University student had gone out to celebrate Valentine’s Day before he died under unclear circumstances.

In a statement, the club acknowledged that indeed the incident occurred within the Masshouse premise, extending sympathies to the victim’s loved ones.

The club said that its silence should not mean they are not taking any action, revealing that they are fully co-operating with the relevant authorities in the ongoing investigation in order to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Masshouse is committed to transparency and will provide updates as appropriate in accordance with the investigations progress,” the club said. “Masshouse is firmly dedicated to ensuring the safety and the well-being of all our clients remains a top priority. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time.”

The incident was first brought to attention when an X user – @ross_corleone – highlighted it.

The death incident was reported at Karen Police Station.
