Kylian Mbappe was finally presented as a Real Madrid player, as a packed out Santiago Bernabeu crowd got their first look at their new number nine.
Mbappe sported a big smile, and chose to endear himself to those in attendance by recreating an iconic moment that Cristiano Ronaldo was responsible for.
When the Portuguese legend was first unveiled as a Los Blancos player, he counted down from three before shouting ‘Hala Madrid’, the club’s iconic slogan and then waving his arms in the air.
Mbappe opted to do the exact same thing at his presentation over a decade later, and fans will be hoping that he can emulate Ronaldo in every way possible over the coming years.
Mbappe is arguably Real’s biggest signing since Ronaldo’s arrival back in 2009. And according to Spanish outlet Diario AS, the club are already preparing to mold the 25-year-old in the Portugal icon’s image.
The Spanish outlet claimed that the club’s fitness guru, Antonio Pintus, has already prepared a Ronaldo-esque fitness plan for the incoming star.
Ronaldo is known for his supreme physical condition, with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner still performing at a respectable standard at 39-years-old.
On signing for Real, Mbappe said last month: “A dream come true. So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams, Real Madrid.
“Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. Hala Madrid!”
Endrick is also set to sign for Madrid this summer, joining the club’s star-studded forward line of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Endrick, Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.
