Radio47 drive show Maskani47 presenter Mbaruk Mwalimu has won the 2023 People’s Choice Radio Host of the Year Award.
The seasoned storyteller sailed past veteran presenters in the Kenyan Media industry to garner 10,135 votes and land the award.
“I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to help us secure this award. To God, alhamdhulillah. To my family, thank you for pushing me to greater heights.
“This is the most significant recognition of my career so far. To my worthy opponents, you are all stars; keep shining. To my colleagues in the Cape Media fraternity, my director Kevin, and the Radio 47 family, gracias,” Mbaruk Mwalimu said after receiving the award.
Following his win, congratulations messages have continued to pour in for him including from UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala.
“Hearty congratulations to my kid brother, Mwalimu Mbaruk. The sky is just but a stopover,” Malala said.
