Mbooni: 10 lost their lives in grizzly matatu accident

In Mbooni West Sub County, specifically within the confines of Mbooni Division, Nzeveni Location, and Kikiini Sub Location, a deadly road accident occurred.

The accident occurred on December 16, 2023, involving Makos Sacco KCQ 920 H.

The chain of events began at 5:55 pm.

Authorities received urgent information about the accident transpiring in the Thungone area along the Kikima Machakos road.

The vehicle had careened off the road and into a nearby ditch.

The severity of the incident was notable by the fact that 7 individuals, each grappling with various injuries, were promptly conveyed to Kikima Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Regrettably, the toll of this tragedy extended to the loss of 10 lives.

The ill-fated vehicle, identified as belonging to Makos Sacco, was journeying from Kikima to Machakos when the accident occurred.

Further reinforcing the gravity of the incident, the Deputy County Commissioner asked drivers to be careful on the roads, especially during this festive season.
