Melania Trump has turned down an invitation to the White House extended by First Lady Jill Biden.
Citing the FBI’s 2022 raid on her Mar-a-Lago home as the reason.
According to sources close to Melania, the former first lady expressed frustration over the Biden administration’s actions.
Particularly the raid, which was part of a federal probe into classified documents from Donald Trump’s presidency.
“She ain’t going,” a source familiar with her decision stated.
“Jill Biden’s husband authorized agents to sift through her private space, even her wardrobe. The Bidens crossed a line,” the source added.
Traditionally, outgoing first ladies invite their successors to the White House for tea, offering a warm introduction to their new role.
In 2016, Melania visited the White House after her husband’s election and received a tour from then-first lady Michelle Obama.
However, Donald Trump did not invite the Bidens to the White House before they took office in 2020, a break from tradition that underscored tensions between the two families.
While former President Trump will still meet President Biden in the Oval Office for a post-election visit, Melania remains firm in her decision to forgo any pleasantries with Jill Biden.
This decision appears to reflect lingering resentment over the raid on her Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida.
During the raid, FBI agents searched Melania’s wardrobe and other private spaces, a move she previously described on Fox & Friends as an “invasion of privacy.”
“I saw unpleasant things nobody should have to deal with,” Melania shared, referring to the scene she encountered upon her return to Mar-a-Lago.
The agents had combed through her belongings, as well as her husband’s office, even searching her son Barron’s room.
Melania voiced her frustration, saying, “Nobody should have to put up with that kind of violation.”
The Trump campaign and the White House have yet to respond to Melania’s decision.
The FBI’s investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents has since concluded, with the case dismissed by Judge Aileen Cannon in July.
Melania’s choice to forego the White House visit sends a clear message of her continued discontent with the current administration.
