One Migori man, by the name Oduor Leakey Amolloh is being detained for alllegedly impersonation Supreme Court Judge William Ouko.
The suspect was arraigned on Friday in a Kiambu Senior Resident’s Magistrate’s Court, and the judge ordered for him to be detained for 3 days.
Amolloh is also charged for collection of bribes from members of the public with promises to help them win court cases.
He was arrested on December 8, in Migori County and presented before the Court on December 11.
The DCI discovered that the accused had residences in Nairobi, Kakamega, and Migori counties, where he allegedly operated his fraudulent activities.

According to court papers, ”Judge William Ouko received information that a mobile number 0728 494 058 purporting to be his mobile number was being used to defraud members of the public in the pretext that he could influence public employment.”
Police sought court orders to enable them to search the residences to recover any exhibit that may be relevant to the ongoing investigations.
Among the documents filed in court and set to be presented as evidence are letters purported to be from a cross-section of institutions offering various people employment which supposedly Amolloh used the name of the Judge of the Supreme Court to secure.
However, the court directed the DCI to arraign him at Kisumu Law Courts on December 19th 2023.

The members of the public have been cautioned to be careful with fraudsters, while those who have been victimised by Amolloh have been called out to report.
The Judiciary has also assured it’s committment to upholding the highest standards of ethics.
