Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has come to the aid of needy families in Nairobi, donating food stuff and other items meant for the festive season.
While urging Kenyans not to forget the true value and meaning of sharing, Sonko donated food items including sugar, rice, cooking oil.
“There are many people who are less fortunate than us, who struggle to meet their basic needs, who face hardships and challenges every day. They deserve our compassion, our generosity and our support,” Sonko says.
He adds: “So let’s give back and share with the less fortunate in this holiday season and beyond. Happy holidays to you all!”
Despite all the drama in Mike Sonko’s political career, one trait has always come out – that he is philanthropic.
On Friday, President William Ruto returned to his Sugoi backyard in Uasin Gishu County with Christmas gifts for residents too.
Hundreds of residents from Turbo Constituency and neighbouring areas received food items including maize flour, cooking oil, wheat flour, rice and sugar.
