Mike Sonko offers a job to Bungoma’s Gen Z Goliath

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko finally responded to Isaac, the Bungoma Gen Z Goliath, who recently revealed that he is homeless despite once being in the spotlight.

In a heartfelt plea, Isaac reached out to Sonko, a known philanthropist, for assistance.

Sonko, however, dismissed the idea of giving handouts, instead offering Isaac a job and basic necessities to help him rebuild his life.

“Huyu hakuna handouts. At the moment, tuko high season biasharas ziko very booming. Wacha nimpe job na basics ajipange kimaisha,” Sonko said.

The former governor also expressed his commitment to seeking justice for Isaac.

He promised to push for investigations into how the young man was allegedly swindled of the money from his endorsement deals, a series of opportunities that came after his fame during the anti-government protests earlier this year.

“Wale waliomsaidia negotiate zile deals wamrudishie pesa zake ama waende jela,” Sonko asserted.

MP Peter Salasya steps in

Isaac’s plight also drawn the attention of Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, who extended a helping hand.

Speaking shortly after Isaac’s plea, Salasya said, “I am more accessible than Mike Sonko for now.

“He should look for me.” The lawmaker’s offer adds another lifeline for Isaac, suggesting a collective effort to address his current struggles.

Insights from Director Trevor

Meanwhile, in an interview on The Wicked Edition with Dr. King’ori, Director Trevor, who manages Bradley Mtall, famously known as the original Gen Z Goliath, explained why he chose Bradley over Isaac.

Trevor stated that Isaac lacked the qualities needed for a successful brand image. “Isaac cannot be packaged,” Trevor said, highlighting the critical role of marketability in his decision.

He mentioned that Bungoma Goliath’s background makes it hard to shape him as he is too set in his ways.

Trevor also claimed that Kenyans prefer Genz Goliath Bradley over Bungoma Goliath.

“He’s a lover boy, watu walimpenda.” Trevor added reffering to Gen Z goliath Bradley.

The fall from grace

Isaac’s rise to fame was as dramatic as his current struggles.

He gained national attention during protests earlier this year for his towering height, earning him comparisons to Bradley Mtall.

While Bradley leveraged his fame into lucrative brand endorsements under Trevor’s guidance, Isaac’s endorsements seem to have gone awry, leaving him homeless and desperate.

A path to redemption

The combined efforts of Sonko and Salasya, coupled with potential investigations into his lost finances, could mark a turning point in Isaac’s journey.

Whether he accepts the job offered by Sonko or seeks immediate help from Salasya, Isaac may finally find the stability he has been yearning for.
