A case in which former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko — and three others — is charged with conflict of interest will continue today (Monday, October 16).
In the case, Sonko and his co-accused are charged with the embezzlement of KSh24.1 million from Nairobi City County.
Former Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong — and five others — have been charged with abuse of office and economic crimes.
The allegations relate to the irregular procurement of a solid waste management feasibility project worth KSh8 million from Madan R Enterprises by the county government.
The case will continue on Wednesday, October 18.
Oscar Sudi’s case
The case in which Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has been charged with forgery and providing false information also continues today (Monday, October 16).
In the case, the lawmaker is alleged to have presented fake academic papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) prior to the 2013 General Election.
