Missing Wajir MCA Yussuf Hussein found alive, reunites with family after 6 months

The missing Dela Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Wajir, Yussuf Hussein Ahmed, has been found alive and reunited with his family. 

The incident was confirmed by Wajir County politicians, who shared the news on social media that Hussein reunited with his family on Saturday March 8, 2025 at night in Nairobi after missing for about 6 months.

For instance, Eldas Member of Parliament (MP) Adan Keynan took to social media to express his gratitude, stating, “Alhamdulillahi!” 

At the same time Wajir County Woman Representative Fatuma Abdi Jehow also expressed her gratitude Sunday morning, sharing photos of the now free MCA with his family.

“No words but to say Alhamdullilah! Welcome home our MCA Hon Yussuf Tolfiyow,” stated  Fatuma Abdi.

Meanwhile, the MCA is yet to share details of what he went through during his time in captivity. 

The Dela Ward MCA went missing on September 13, 2024, along Enterprise Road in Nairobi at a time when several youths were abducted in the country. 

A few weeks later, reports of his mutilated body being found in a lake emerged, sparking an uproar on social media.

However, DNA tests proved that the body did not belong to the missing MCA.
