A Modern Coast bus on Saturday, December 7 burst into flames near Gilgil Weighbridge on the Naivasha-Nakuru Highway.
Reports indicate that the bus had left Nairobi for Kampala, with 23 passengers on board at the time of incident.
Gilgil Sub-County Police Commander Winstone Mwakio says the incident occurred at around 9:45 am, with all the 23 passengers evacuated safely.
Officers from Gilgil Police Station have been deployed to the scene to start investigations into the incident.
