Morara Kebaso receives approval to register ‘INJECT’ as a new political party

Morara Kebaso, a lawyer and activist known for advocating civic education and government accountability, has had the name of his new political party officially approved.

The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has approved the name reservation of Kebaso’s political party, Inclusion of National Justice, Economic, and Civic Transformation (INJECT). This marks the initial stage toward the party’s full registration.

The name approval was confirmed on September 27, 2024, in a letter addressed to Kebaso’s lawyer, Brian Pareno Solonka.

On Thursday, September 19, Morara had proposed the party’s name and welcomed public feedback through a poll on his X account.

The name “INJECT” aligns with Morara’s reformist agenda, aiming to push for transformative governance and address the critical issues of justice, economic development, and civic engagement in Kenya.

The ORPP has granted the INJECT Party a 90-day reservation period to finalize its registration, including submitting a constitution, party structures, and membership lists.

If the party fails to meet these requirements within the stipulated time, it may need to reapply for the name reservation.

Morara’s INJECT Party initiative aligns with his broader civic activism and his viral critiques of government inefficiencies, most notably through his video series “Vampire Diaries,” which has exposed widespread mismanagement in public service.
