More Burden for Kenyans as EPRA increases Fuel Prices.

News

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced new fuel prices.

The latest review shows that the price of petrol has increased by Sh16.96, diesel by Sh21.32, and kerosene by Sh33.13.

In Nairobi, the new prices per litre will be as follows: Super Petrol at Sh211.64, Diesel at Sh201, and Kerosene at Sh202.13.

According to EPRA Director General Daniel Kiptoo, the price increase is because of the cost of importing petroleum products.

“The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023,” he stated.

These new prices will be effective on September 15, 2023 to October 14, 2023.
