Presidential advisor Moses Kuria has taken a swipe at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, claiming that his power-hungry attitude was his downfall.
Speaking in Embu when he attended a church function on Sunday, November 3, Kuria said that had Gachagua heeded to the character of Biblical David, he could still be the second in command. According to the Holy Writ, David was anointed to be king when he was 15 years, but had to wait for many years before becoming king.
He also called on all leaders in the country to unite for the sake of development. He insisted that leaders from different political divides should unite and assist the government achieve its development agenda.
His sentiment follows sharp division that have rocked the country among leaders and Kenyans over the impeachment of Gachagua.
Prof. Kithure Kindiki has since been sworn in to take over from Gachagua.
