Motorist flees petrol station to avoid paying KSh13,000 bill

In what is appearing to be a growing trend, another motorist is on the spot for allegedly fleeing a petrol station without paying for fuel.

According to images shared by Sikika on social media, the motorist in a black vehicle under registration KDA 092Y reportedly failed to pay up KSh13,000 to the fuel attendant.

CCTV footage at National Oil Kenyatta university station revealed a man inside the Toyota vehicle speeding away from the station.

Apparently, he incurred KSh13,815 fuel bill but upon filling, he sped off while the attendant turned away to return the valve in its rightful place on the fuel dispensing machine.

The attendant, who identified himself as Ken at Kiwanja Police Post, reported the motorist under OB number 16/03/2024/11 at around 1pm on Saturday.

He went on to share CCTV footage with the police to help in tracking the fugitive.

Irked Kenyans on social media tagged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to intervene and bring the motorist to book.
