In a heated discussion, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino stated that men cannot perform in bed due to the high cost of electricity.
Owino while in parliament stated that the cost of living was affecting men and their spouses.
The striking member of parliament stated that with the rising cost of living, married men had been left destitute.
Babu Owino presented his findings in parliament during the heated discussions before the passing of the contested housing levy.

Are men falling short in the bedroom?
According to the Embakasi East MP, men have been pushed to their breaking point and they cannot go any further.
Furthermore, Owino went on to insinuate that due to the high level of stress, married men in Kenya are shying away from their conjugal duties.
The cost of living is a hotly contested issue in parliament as the government moves to increase and introduce new taxes.
According to Owino, a marriage cannot be stable and happy while the cost of living and electricity is high.
He stated “Marriage cannot be very very sweet and successful when the cost of electricity is high”

Babu Owino on cost of electricity
Babu went on to say that the process of lovemaking requires light and one must be able to see what they are partaking in.
“Even in the process of lovemaking, you need to see what you are eating,” Owino stated in his submission.
Furthermore, Owino went on to share “So when the cost of electricity is high, you will be so depressed Mr Speaker you can’t even deliver.”
He went on to state that lights being on at home is putting strain on men due to the cost of having power on.
Additionally, the member of parliament stated that marriages are breaking and couples going their separate ways over the high cost of electricity,
Owino shared “Because when the lights are on and the cost is high, you can’t deliver well Mr Speaker. So it is breaking even marriages.”
