MP Peter Salasya meets lady who carried placard asking him to marry her

Mumias East member of parliament (MP) Peter Salasya on Tuesday April 2, 2024 met the woman who carried a placard, asking him to marry her.

The two met at a hotel in Kakamega, where they both chatted about the marriage proposal as Lavyn Shantell expressed joy after meeting Salasya.

Shantell revealed during the discussion that she is ready to have a serious relationship with the MP and later settle in marriage.

This was after the Mumias East MP took a bold step of meeting Shantell, who had publicly declared her love for him.

Meanwhile, Salasya appreciated her efforts, adding that he would first seek opinions of his online followers and residents of his constituency before making a final decision on whether to marry her or not.

“Are you serious if you want to marry me? Members of the public will have to comment. Their opinions matter. It is good I have met and known you,” said Salasya.

On the other hand, Shantell noted that they would make a splendid couple and assured Salasya of her unwavering commitment to the relationship.

“Finally, I have met my husband. I am very happy, At least I am feeling relieved. We had ugali and chicken for dinner. You said you wanted somebody who will stay at home, Yes I’m already home and can handle anything. I am ready to settle down,” Shantell assured.

Salasya’s meeting with Shantell came a day after he had declared intention to reject her marriage proposal.

“I have heard that this is trending and am not sure if I can handle her,” Salasya wrote on his Facebook post.

At that time, MP Peter Salasya had disclosed that he might not be able to handle her due to her physical appearance.
