Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has lashed out at the Jubilee Party for what he terms as undermining the National Dialogue Committee (NDC) report.
Speaking in Makueni County on Saturday, December 16, Mudavadi took issues with the party’s hesitancy towards the NADCO report, co-chaired by Kalonzo Musyoka and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa.
“If Kalonzo and Ichung’wah, the chairs of NADCO have approved the report, then it is Jubilee that is bringing complications among the Azimio coalition. Why is it that Uhuru Kenyatta and his team do not want to respect the results?” Mudavadi asked.
While lauding President William Ruto’s commitment to peace, highlighting the bipartisan talks that fostered unity between Kenya Kwanza and the opposition, Mudavadi urged former President Uhuru Kenyatta and his party to accept the finding of the report, just like Raila Odinga has.
“What’s the double game here? Let’s all respect the results from bipartisan talks,” Musalia added.
Mudavadi insisted that Uhuru and Jubilee should accept the report and allow Parliament to take the process to the next level.
He affirmed government resolve to lower the high cost of living saying there is light at the end of the tunnel.
He commended the increased inclusion of women in government positions, echoing President Ruto’s commitment to gender equality.
Mudavadi, who’s also the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs had joined fellow leaders in Makueni County for the thanksgiving ceremony of Devolution PS Terry Mbaika.
