Mugithi artist Kareh B (real name Mary Gioche) reportedly lost her son in a road accident on Tuesday.
The tragic news was shared by her colleague Jose Gatururua (Mashette) in an emotional social media post.
“Am sorry to hear about the passing of KarehB ‘s Son “Joseph” who was yesterday involved in a road accident. May God comfort you and give you peace that surpasses all human understanding in this difficult moments,” he wrote.
Her colleagues, friends and fans flooded the comments section with condolence messages.
“Sorry for the loss. It’s painful ooooh God have mercy,” gospel artist Mary Lincoln wrote.
“Sorry for the loss, may God comfort this family,” MC Gathuba man added.
“This is Saddening loosing a young soul, May She be Comforted and receive strength from our good Lord. Hugs,” Naomi Wangui said.
“Heartfelt condolences to Kareh B and may our good Lord be her comfort,, may he rest in eternal peace,” Anthony Kamau added.
“May God intervene his peace to you beautiful strong woman. You are in my prayers dear be strong,” Wacera Josephine commented.
Kareh B’s son was the late Chavakali Boys High School student who perished in the tragic accident in Kisumu. He was among a group of students heading home for the April holidays aboard an Easy Coach bus.
This loss comes three years after Kareh B lost her sister Winnie Mukami.
On March 18, 2024, the mugithi artist wrote a tribute on social media in memory of her sister who passed away on the same date.
“Today we mark 3 years since we received that call from the doctors…We miss you dearly and its been hard but God has given us strength to cope…Thank you to family and friends, her colleagues and business partners for supporting us over time…May God bless you all,” she said.
Mukami was a senior anchor at a local media house.
Barely a week ago, Kareh B shared a cryptic message of Facebook about burying children while they are still so young.
“Do we talk to the boy child enough? It’s very sad that we are burying them so young,” she posed.
Kareh B comforted the family of renown Kikuyu pastor Bishop JJ Gitahi last month when he lost his mother.
“My deepest condolences….I met Your Mum once when you launched Uria JJ..and she was so jovial and so proud of You. Take heart, It is well…” she told Bishop Gitahi at the time.
