Mulamwah shows off KSh365,000 he saved this year

Kenyan comedian Mulamwah (real name David Oyando) has surprised netizens by showing his yearly savings totaling KSh365,000.

In a video shared on his social media pages, Mulamwah, who is in his backyard, displayed a small wooden box labelled ‘2023 savings’.

“2023 ndio hii sasa tumefungua savings box. Nilijaribu hii 1k challenge na sasa nimesave KSh365,000. Next year tuanze pamoja. Ukipata 50, 100, 500 weka ikifika December tuvunje mabox tupige sherehe. Kwa sasa tunashusha nyavu.

(2023 is now here we have opened the savings box. I tried this 1k challenge and now I have saved KSh365,000. Next year let’s start together. If you get 50, 100, 500, let’s break the boxes and have a party in December. We are currently lowering the nets.)” Mulamwah said.

Mulamwah challenges netizens

His partner replied slyly saying “Next year lazima tuanze wote… nigawie aki (Next year we must all start… please share with me).

More social media users praised Mulamwah for the discipline as they also vowed to join in the savings challenge.

“Maaad respect brother,” Sunguti Victor wrote.

“Ai na ulikuwa Kenya wewe,” Purple Sam posed.

“Weeh kwani mlikua serious,” Mr Bradley wrote.

The comedian has been vocal about saving and investing in one’s youth so as to build wealth through the proper channels.

KSh8.5 million mansion

In November, Mulamwah showed off progress of his two-storey mansion in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.

“POLE POLE TU , Inawezekana 🙏🙏 God has been great , let no one tell you that you CANT !!! trust in your self , believe in your dreams , pray to God and do your best . one day you’ll sit back and say I DID IT,” he wrote.

Earlier this year, the successful content creator revealed that he lived in a KSh10,000 rental house. He justified this saying he was being frugal as he was building a KSh8.5 million mansion.

Mulamwah is currently expecting a child with his ‘bestie’ Ruth K. He also has another child with former girlfriend Carol Sonie.
