New boys Murang’a Seal secured a deserved 1-0 victory over FKF defending champions Kakamega Homeboyz at St. Sebastian Park in Murang’a on Saturday.
Titus Kapchanga scored the lone goal of the match in the 80th minute to hand the home side maximu points, taking their season tally to six following their 1-0 win against Shaban FC at Rail Odinga Stadium in Homabay County.
The win means that the 2022/2023 National Super League runners up now have a 100% win record in this season’s Premier League.
The win alsao means that Murang’a Seals who are sponsored by betting firm Sportpesa are the league leaders with six points in two outings.
The match also saw Nyamira teacher Seth Mokua win KES24 million Sportpesa midweek jackpot.
Mokua predicted correct outcomes out of 13 selected games on the cards to win KES24,465,485.
Meanwhile, in other Saturday FKF Premier League fixtures, defending champions Gor Mahia beat Ulinzi Stars 1-0 while Tusker FC were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Kariobangi Sharks at the Ruaraka Stadium.
Posta Rangers, Nzoia Sugar FC, Gor Mahia and Tusker FC close the top five rankings with four points each respectively.
Bottom of the table are Ulinzi Stars with zero points in two outings.
