Alex Mwakideu: I was not poached from Milele fm, I was going to rest

Mwakideu cleared the air on rumours that he was poached from Milele FM to join Cape Media ltd’s Radio47. 

Speaking in an interview on Dr Ofweneke Tonight which airs exclusively on TV47 every Wednesday from 8PM, Mwakideu said that he was resigning from Milele FM to just go rest.

“Ilikua lazima tu nitoke, I had resigned to go home and not to be poached (by Radio47),” he told Dr. Ofweneke.

Mwakideu currently hosts Radio47 breakfast show with veteran presenter Emannuel Mwashumbe a,k,a Mr Mbappe.

The outspoken radio personality also stated that working with Mwashumbe was a reality bender. This is because of how far back in the industry he and others they have worked with go.

The Radio trendsetter shared how his first job interview session at Milele FM was alongside Mwashumbe. 

Mwakideu hit headlines after he shared he was exiting Milele FM mid August 2023.

He would later go back on his word to confirm he and Milele had reached a workable agreement. 

However, he clarified that his initial post on exiting his former platform was his true intention and he knew it deep down.

Nevertheless, the agreement would fall apart. This saw him feature and officially join Radio 47 under Cape Media ltd.
