Police in Bondo town, Siaya County, are investigating an incident where a 61-year-old man was found dead in a guest house.
The lifeless body of Nicholas Oganda Ogol was found lying on the bed by the guest house attendant on Tuesday, January 9 morning.
According to the guest house attendant identified as Eveline Atieno, she went to clean the room at around 10:30 am when she discovered the body of the elderly man.
Confirming the incident, Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said some HIV treatment tablets were found beside Oganda’s body.
Preliminary investigations
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased checked into the guest house alone on Monday, January 8 night.
Atieno, however, says that he appeared to be inebriated when he checked in.
The police boss says that the body did not have any visible injuries.
The body was taken to Bondo Sub-County mortuary pending an autopsy.
