Mzuqa festival dala edition: Koffi Olomide and Nyoka Longo set to ignite Kisumu

Kisumu city is gearing up for an unforgettable night of music, as it plays host to the highly anticipated Mzuqa festival, Dala Edition.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo, promises to be a cultural and musical spectacle featuring an impressive lineup of both international and local stars.

Kofi Olomide and Nyoka Longo to share the stage

Headlining the event are two legendary Congolese artists, Kofi Olomide and Nyoka Longo, who will perform together in Kenya for the very first time.

Kofi Olomide, renowned for his charismatic performances and a string of hits including Selfie and Effrakata, will bring his unique blend of rhumba and soukous to Kisumu.

Joining him is Nyoka Longo, the veteran leader of Zaiko Langa Langa, a band celebrated for its great contribution to African music.

Their joint performance is expected to draw fans from across the country and beyond.

Local artists to light up the stage

Adding a Kenyan flavor to the extravaganza will be popular benga artists Prince Indah and Madanji Perimeter.

Prince Indah, often referred to as the “Simba wa Luo,” is known for hits like Adiera and Osiepe, while Madanji Perimeter’s electrifying stage presence and benga rhythms are sure to resonate with the audience.

Their performances are set to complement the Congolese legends, creating a rich musical experience.

Star-studded hosting team

The MZUQA FEST will be hosted by a dynamic trio of seasoned entertainers.

Comedian and media personality Dr. Ofweneke, known for his sharp wit and humor, will share hosting duties with Alex Mwakideu and Mwashumbe of Radio 47.

Their engaging styles are expected to keep the audience entertained throughout the night.

Mzuqa Festival brought to you by TV 47 and Radio 47 will kick off at 2pm till late.

Tickets are already on sale, with the regular tickets going for Ksh1000, VIP tickets going for Ksh.4,000 and the VVIP tickets going for Ksh10, 000.

Food, drinks, and merchandise will be available at the venue, making it a family-friendly event.
