Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has announced a break from performing due to health concerns after a recent alarming incident on stage where she collapsed after an asthma attack.
In a heartfelt post shared on October 3, Nadia revealed that during her performance at Oktoba Fest, the intense energy of the show triggered an asthma attack that caused her to collapse backstage.
“I had mad energy and vibes on stage, but when I left, my chest couldn’t take it anymore,” she explained. “I suffered an asthma attack and collapsed on my way backstage.”
The incident has prompted the singer to take a much-needed break from her hectic schedule to focus on her health.
Nadia, who recently released her debut album Queen of the East, expressed gratitude to her team—dancers, DJ, and crew—who acted quickly during the emergency.
She shared that she has been unwell for some time and, after this scare, has decided to rest until at least mid-November to fully recover.
Her fans immediately flooded social media with messages of support, expressing concern and encouraging her to prioritize her health above all else.
Many praised her for her dedication to her craft, but understood the importance of taking a step back when needed.
Nadia’s announcement has served as a reminder to fans that health should always come first, no matter how busy one’s career may be.
