Police have launched investigations after a middle-aged man collapsed and died at a lodging in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
According to the police report, the incident happened on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Premier guest house along Second Avenue in Eastleigh.
Police reported that the man collapsed at the doorstep of the guest house he had checked into and died.
He had blood oozing from his mouth as he was picked and rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
His body was moved to the City mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
The cause of the death is yet to be known as police said they are investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, police in Kirinyaga County are looking for a miraa vehicle driver who was involved in a road accident where he knocked and killed two children aged 12 and 7 years at Ngurubani, along –Mwea-Embu highway on Tuesday night.
According to Mwea-East sub-county police commander Mohammed Jarso, the accident happened when a speeding miraa vehicle that was heading towards Nairobi direction was overtaking another vehicle.
The two children were riding on a motorbike, when they were knocked down by a miraa vehicle.
Police said one boy died on the spot while the second died in hospital.
Residents raised concerns, saying that miraa vehicle drivers move with impunity, killing pedestrians and boda boda riders along the busy Mwea-Embu highway.
