Nairobi loctician, Adelle Omondi, claims that she was drugged and robbed while travelling to Mombasa on her facebook page on 19th April 2025.
She alleges that the passenger who sat next to her on seat no 38 was involved in the awful act and she was left with a lot of unanswered questions.
In her pursuit to seek justice, she reached out to the bus company for the details of the alleged passenger, however, her request was denied.
Adelle was shocked to wake up in a hospital in Mombasa with some of her private clothes missing.
“I need an explanation of how I woke up in hospital without my private clothes on yet I had them when boarding that bus. So at this point I don’t know if I was raped while drugged or not. I am losing it because I don’t have answers and all am getting from the company is we don’t know.” She stated
The hospital refused to open a file on her but she firmly stated that nothing will stop her from seeking justice.
“And the hospital kazi ni asking their nurses to tell me to move on anga this happens all the time and cops can’t help” she noted.
Her allegations have sparked different reactions from people online, some claiming to have experienced similar incident.
“This is insane! A crime was committed and they are refusing to give up the name? I don’t know law matters but start with suing them.”Rehamz Zeddar stated.
“So these days people board long distance buses like matatu! How did that passenger pay for that ticket! This country runs on mpesa! Kenya police…Please don’t make us teach you how to do your jobs!” Aisha Marlon said.
This incident has made many question whether their safety in public transport is really guaranteed.
