Police on Sunday March 17, 2024 arrested a 19-year-old girl in Naivasha for allegedly strangling her neighbor’s daughter in Nyondia Village.

The teenager is said to have killed the four-year-old girl and dumped her body in a nearby quarry.

An angry mob demolished their house and even attempted to lynch her and her mother before the police came to their rescue.

According to the neighbors, this is not the first attempted murder by the girl. They said that in the past, the same lady had tried to strangle another minor in the same village.

Stephen Kirui, Naivasha OCPD, stated that the deceased’s body was discovered in a quarry where the suspect was seen heading with the victim.

Elsewhere, residents in Munyaka village in Kinangop have been left in shock after a man killed his daughter using a machete before hanging himself.

According to Njabini OCPD Peter Nzimbi, the man tried to murder his wife after slashing her with a machete, leaving her in critical condition, before turning to her 17-year-old daughter who walked in during the attack.

The teenager was returning from school, where she had escorted her siblings.

Nzimbi said after the man committed the act, he hanged himself. His wife, who was seriously injured, is receiving treatment at the nearby hospital.
