Nameless travels to Uganda, but leaves “able representative” to stand in for him during anti-Finance Bill demos

Nameless arrives in Kampala, Uganda, for the Blankets and Wines Festival. He says he has left behind a representative to stand in for him during anti-Finance Bill demos.

Kenyan artist David Mathenge, popularly known by his stage name Nameless, is in Uganda.

Nameless landed in Kampala, Uganda, on Monday, June 24 to prepare for the music festival scheduled to go down Sunday, June 30 at Lugogo Grounds.

“Nimekuja Kampala kidogo to prepare for my Blankets and Wines show Uganda edition! Full live band experience!” Nameless said on his social media pages.

Finance Bill protests

However, the veteran musician urged his fans and Kenyans at large not to worry ahead of the planned anti-Finance Bill protests on Tuesday, June 25.

“But don’t worry my fellow comrades, nimewacha my able representatives to represent the senior citizens as we continue to #RejectFinanceBill2024 in the streets! Niangalilie mtu wangu !” He added.

He called upon the protestors to exercise their Constitutional right in a peaceful manner. “Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X all unite in one voice! Keep it united, Keep it Safe, keep it positive, Keep It focused.”

Nameless’ wife, fellow artist Wahu, responded to his post… “You will definitely be well represented. 

The nationwide protests has attracted people from different walks of life, with artists and celebrities being implored to take part in them or face the wrath of Kenyans.
