National Police Service invites Kenyans to help pick their new uniform

The National Police Service on Tuesday, August 29 invited Kenyans to help in the selection process for the proposed police uniform.

Peter Ndungu, the head of logistics at Administration Police, says the move to change Kenya Police uniform is in line with President William Ruto’s pre-election pledge.

“We are only concerned with the design, not about texture or standards. Officers have voted through acclamation on what they want,” Ndungu said in a press briefing today.

The current police uniforms were introduced by former president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018.

The selection process will be held as follows;

Tuesday, August 29, 2023 – Kenya Police Pavilion, South C, Nairobi.

Wednesday, August 30, 2023 – Central Region at Ruring’u Police Training College.

Thursday, August 31, 2023, at National Police College-Main Campus Kiganjo.
