Zacharia Njeru had previously been in charge of the docket. Wahome previously served in the Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation.

She wore a white blazer and a black dress. However, she had her security with her.

As she walked, she waved to other people on the street and even made jokes with a few of them.

“Chakula imeiva? Ntarudi tena,” she was heard telling a person who was selling food on the roadside.

Wahome has joined the group of CSs who have already enlisted in their respective new ministries.

Moses Kuria hands over the Trade Ministry

Moses Kuria, the new Minister for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management, officially turned over the Investments, Trade, and Industry ministry to Rebecca Miano, the current CS to the docket.

This comes a day after ex-Trade CS Moses Kuria handed over the ministry to incoming Rebecca Miano.

Kuria, while speaking at the handover of the ministry to CS Rebecca Miano at headquarters, reiterated that he was proud of the milestones achieved during his 11-month tenure.

“Government exists in perpetuity. There is never a comma, a pause, or a full stop. I am very satisfied with my work since I took over from Betty Maina 11 months ago,” he stated.

Kuria claimed to have revised the ministry’s activities and given it a fresh focus.

“What I inherited was a country whose wheels of production had stopped many years ago. Exports were not growing, we were not attracting investments. We were importing goods and services worth US$20 billion and exporting US$6 billion,” he stated.

Kuria also mentioned that he is leaving behind a capable staff that will advance his agenda.
