Dan Burn and Sven Botman slotted in for the visitors at a four minute interval Burn at minute 31 and Botman minute 35.

After the break the series of pain continued

Newcastle players effortlessly exploited open spaces across the field, rendering the home side clearly outmatched.

While such a outcome might not be shocking when facing a Champions League-caliber team, the greater concern lies in their complete lack of competitiveness in the match.

Despite enduring four defeats in their initial five games, this marks the first instance in which Heckingbottom’s team has succumbed to a defeat by a margin greater than a single goal.

They must cling to the hope that this performance turns out to be an anomaly.
