The High Court has ruled that Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria has no case to answer in hate speech charges filed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

This after the court failed to verify the authenticity of a video of him speaking in Kikuyu language at Wangige Market in Kiambu on September 5, 2017.

Kuria was accused of making inciting comments against the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his wife Ida Odinga. According to Odinga, the comments were abusive and intended to cause physical injury to him and his wife.

One of those inciting words included 'wembe ni ule ule' which means the razor is the same. The court ruled that the words used in the video do not translate that the accused wanted to cause death or injury to anyone.

Kuria is expected to get back the Sh300,000 he paid as bail so he can be set free.
