It is a relief for motorists at the pump after fuel prices in the country were reduced in the latest review.

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) on Thursday, May 14 reduced the prices of super petrol and diesel, taking into account the weighted average cost of imported refined petroleum products.

In the latest review, the price of super petrol in Nairobi was decreased by Sh9.54 per litre, while the price of diesel was reduced by Sh19.19 per litre.

Kerosen prices, however, increased by Sh2.49 per litre, owing to the fact that no kerosene cargo was discharged at the Port of Mombasa for the period between 10th April to 9th May.

The latest review means that it will cost you Sh83.33 for a litre of petrol, Sh78.37 for a litre of diesel and Sh79.77 for a litre of kerosene.

EPRA says that the new prices will take effect from Friday, May 15 to Sunday, June 14.
