Former MP Danson Mungatana arrested for allegedly obtaining Sh1 million by false pretense, forgery

Former Garsen MP Danson Mungatana has been arrested by DCI detectives for obtaining money by false pretense.

Mungatana was arrested at a Nairobi CBD hotel alongside one Mr. Collins Paul Waweru over claims of forging and making of false documents.

The two, plus others who are still at large, were arrested after their accuser reported a security agency tender documents purported to have originated from them, which were found to be fake after scrutiny.

The victim had allegedly paid Sh1 million to the suspects so as to be assisted to win a Sh70 million cereals and building tenders.

The victim was to pay another Sh1 million before DCI sleuths pounced on the two.

Further investigations are on course as manhunt for the other suspects continue.
