312 COVID-19 patients recover as 261 more people test positive

Kenya has recorded 261 new COVID-19 cases out of the 3,387 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 39,184.
All of todays cases were of Kenyans except for 12 who are foreigners.
The males continue to lead in the number of coronavirus infections in the country, accounting for 186 of today's cases while females were 75.
Today, the youngest patient was a four-month old infant while the oldest was 80 years.
312 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. 229 were from the Home-Based Care Program while 83 were discharged from various hospitals. The total COVID-19 recoveries in the country have risen to 26,426.
On a sad note, 3 patients have succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 to 728.
