Ngirita's scandal

In 2018, bank accounts and assets worth millions of shillings belonging to Ann Ngirita, her sister, brother and mother were frozen by the courts after the four were implicated in the NYS corruption scandal.

This is after a court established that KSh300 million was sent to the bank accounts of the Ngiritias by the NYS.

Ngirita who has a corruption case relating to the KSh226.9 million NYS scandal will remain in prison custody until she gets an alternative surety or cash bail early granted by the court when she answered the charges in 2018.
