"My DCI woes occasioned by Uhuru, Raila" - Jimi Wanjigi

Kenyans should stand up and unyoke themselves from the stranglehold of the Kenyatta and Odinga families, this is according to Nairobi businessman Jimi Wanjigi.
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, February 22, Wanjigi accused the two families of feeling entitled and privileged over other Kenyans.
"It is a critical moment that all Kenyans collectively stand up and unyoke themselves from the stranglehold of the Kenyatta and Odinga families. These two families feel entitled and privileged while treating Kenyans as their subjects," Wanjigi said.
According to the presidential hopeful, President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga are out to stop him from vying for the country's top seat in forthcoming August 9, 2022 General Election.
"Mr. Odinga is in cohort with President Uhuru Kenyatta and they want to stop my presidential bid by whatever means but I will not be a coward," he said.
Wanjigi: Neither Uhuru nor Odinga can stop me
The businessman-cum-politician has further reiterated that he will not be intimidated by anybody and that he will be in the 2022 presidential race.
"I want to assure Kenyans that I will be on the ballot and where I will be is where the next government will be formed. It will be a government of the people and for the people of Kenya," he stated.
Wanjigi also blamed President Uhuru Raila for his current woes with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
"I had warned of my party leader with the help of Uhuru Kenyatta were using DCI to harass intimidate and silence me."
Wanjigi reads malice by DCI's decision to summon him, few days to the ODM National Delegates Congress set for Friday, February 25.
On Monday, the DCI ordered the businessman to surrender ten firearms and 485 rounds of ammunition to its headquarters along Kiambu road, failure to which he will be placed under lawful custody.
Wanjigi is accused of being in possession of a CQ, 2 Ceskas, a pistol, shotgun, Glock 19, Ceska, 2 Glocks, rifle and a Gilboa. He has also been asked to explain the source of a Glock under the serial number URT 735.
