Zachariah Nyaora Obadia: Bodaboda rider wanted over assault on motorist along Wangari Maathai road arrested

Zachariah Nyaora Obadia, the bodaboda rider wanted over the sexual assault of a female motorist along Wangari Maathai Road has been arrested.

Obadia, who police say masterminded the ghastly sexual attack on the lady was arrested minutes ago at the Kenya-Tanzania border in Sirare.

"Sleuths from the elite Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau augmented by a section of detectives from Nairobi DCI Regional command, pounced on him as he tried to cross the border to Tanzania through a panya route," says the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

"The thug who has been on the run since last week escaped our dragnet in Mukuru Kaiyaba, through a sewer duct. Since then, he has been engaging detectives in hide and seek games until his arrest moments ago."

The sleuths say that using digital forensics, they had earlier placed him at the scene of the crime scientifically, before launching a manhunt for him.

"The suspect is currently airborne to Nairobi, where he will face justice in strict conformity to the law," adds DCI.
