Skiza Thanksgiving Luncheon

In July 2021, businessman S.K Macharia hosted musicians at his rural home in Ndakaini, Gatanga, Murang’a County. The event was dubbed "Skiza Thanksgiving Luncheon", and was aimed at highlighting the plight of musicians in Kenya.

Among those in attendance were ODM leader Raila Odinga (now Azimio flag bearer), Governors Mwangi Wa Iria (Murang’a), Alfred Mutua (Machakos), James Nyoro (Kiambu), James Ongwae (Kisii), and Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega).

Others were MPs Nduati Ngugi (Gatanga), Maina Kamanda (Nominated), Maoka Maore (Igembe North), Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa, Siaya Senator James Orengo and former presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth.
