Dickson Macharia, leader of dreaded 'Confirm gang' arrested in Nakuru
A crackdown against members of the dreaded 'Confirm gang' was intensified over two months ago following the brutal murder of six women in Nakuru.

Waithera was arrested on Wednesday following an operation by officers in a multi-agency operation in Nakuru.
'Confirm gang' is suspected to be behind the recent spate of crimes and brutal killings in Nakuru.
In two months, six women were killed in similar fashion, they were burnt to death in their houses.
In late July this year, four suspected members of the gang were shot dead by police in Barut area, Nakuru West.
It was reported that police got a tip off from residents that some young men were attacking helpless passersby with arrows, prompting them to open fire.
Nakuru Police Commander Peter Mwanzo led the arrest of Waithera.
Confirm gang outlawed
The gang sprung up during the tenure of former Interior Cabinet Secretary, the late Joseph Nkaissery.
Since current CS Fred Matiang'i ordered the crackdown against the gang in late June, over 140 members have been arrested.
