IEBC rectifies 10,000 votes disparity called in favour of Ruto in Kiambu

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has rectified 10,000 suspicious votes tallied from Kiambu Town constituency in Kiambu County.
The votes were in favour of UDA presidential candidate William Ruto.
IEBC's earlier figures showed that Ruto garnered 51,050 votes against his Azimio challenger Raila Odinga's 14,860. David Mwaure of Agano party and George Wajackoyah (Roots) had 318 votes apiece. The total valid votes cast was 56,546, and this raised a red flag.
Members of the press raised the issue of this disparity with IEBC, leading to the flagging. IEBC Commissioner Justus Nyangaya clarified that Ruto got 41,050 and not 51,050 votes as earlier declared.
"In form 34B there was an error, that was corrected in form 34C," said Commissioner Nyaga.
"In Thindigwa Primary it was captured that 11 voted for Odinga instead of 111. That has been corrected in Form C."
