Martha Karua: We are waiting for the official seal and approval

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya presidential running mate Martha Karua remains optimistic that the coalition party will win the presidential race.

Speaking on Saturday during the Azimio leaders-elect inaugural conference at KICC, Karua said that the results posted at the IEBC portal showed them as the deserved winners.

"We have tallied, its just that we don't have the power to announce ourselves. The forms were on the portal and we know where we are.  If we had the power, by now we would have called it for us but we will wait for that announcement.

"Know that Kenyans did give us the opportunity to steer the nation and we are waiting for the official seal of approval," Karua said.

Karua took the opportunity to thank the Azimio La Umoja leaders elected saying that the coalition has numbers countrywide and is strong enough to form the next government.

"We have strength around the country. If you look at our competition, they are about 130 Members of parliament and even if they improve, they will not come anywhere near us," she added.
